What The Weekend Holds
As I mentioned in my last post I’ll be away this weekend in Bournemouth at Ruth’s birthday celebrations which I’m really looking forward to. It should be fun and gives me yet another chance to catch up with people I’d rarely see if it wasn’t for things like this. I was planning to do something for my birthday next month but I’m so un-organised it’s untrue and Cati is away every weekend except my birthday one and that’s when we’re going to the theatre.
Aside from all that tho I’ve ordered a bunch of stuff of Amazon that’ll arrive in the next month or so. I’ve got Fifa 07 on the way for my 360, the soundtracks from Clerks, Clerks II and High-Fidelity (along with the movie) and finally a Jools Holland album “Swinging the Blues, Dancing the Ska.” So I’m looking forward to all of that arriving through the mail in the next month or so.
I’m also hoping to go see The Departed soon as it’s a movie I like the look of. It’s not out till next Friday so obviously I can’t see it before that. Might see if a mate or two fancy going seeing it or something. I’m a bit annoyed I missed out on DOA: Dead or Alive I mean yes, it looks cack and probably is but I like seeing any movie pretty much no matter how panned or bad that film may be. Cat and I also talked about seeing United play sometime in November. I joined One United this year you see so I can actually apply (if my login worked) for tickets this season. I’ve been wanting to do it for the longest time but never really had the time nor have I remembered to be honest.
Anyway, I’ll leave you with a thought of the day – “Common sense is the knack of seeing things as they are, and doing things as they ought to be done.” - C.E. Stowe
